All About Women: Today's Wise Modern Women Must Know
Good health starts from the “inside-out” because the “visceral system” of women has a complex structure and functions, including changes at each age, which can present various problems according to age. All women should have regular age-appropriate screening. If you do not know or ignore these possibilities until you have abnormal symptoms, and only then see a doctor, diagnosis and treatment will be more difficult, delayed, and longer, and the treatment results will often not be as good as in the early stages.
According to the National Cancer Institute, the 5th most common new cancers are breast cancer, cervical cancer, colorectal cancer, lung cancer, and uterine cancer
Co-Test (Pap Smear & HPV DNA) Cervical Cancer Screening
DNA-level in-depth HPV Virus examination is a modern technique that helps detect the HPV Virus, which causes abnormalities of the cervical cells, even before they occur, and the ThinPrep examination is to check for abnormalities in the cervical cells. When these 2 methods are used together as a Co-Test, they are nearly 100% accurate, which makes it possible to detect and treat abnormalities of the cervix at an early stage and greatly reduce the risk of cervical cancer.
Cervical cancer The 2nd most common cancer, accounting for 13.8% of all cancers in women. The recommended examination criteria are:
• Women who are 25 years of age or older, or have had sexual intercourse.
• Unusual vaginal discharge / Unpleasant smelling vaginal discharge
• Pain and discomfort during sex
• Abnormal vaginal bleeding
• Pelvic pain
This co-testing can be repeated every 3 years if the result is normal.
According to a statistical Co-Test at BNH Hospital between 2019 and 2022, approximately 18,000 cases of High-risk HPV Virus were detected, which is the main cause of cervical cancer in 10% of patients, even without any abnormal symptoms. This examination allows patients to be cured and recover before abnormalities of the cervix occur.
